Author Guidelines
1. General Requirements

Manuscripts must be original works, not previously published, and not under review in other journals.

Submitted articles should match the focus and scope of the Journal of Social Sciences and Law (JSSL), which covers social sciences and legal studies.

Manuscripts can be written in academic English or Indonesian with proper language use.
2. Types of Manuscripts

Conceptual or theoretical papers

3. Manuscript Structure
Research articles should be structured as follows:

Title (max. 16 words)

Author name(s) and affiliation(s)

Abstract (150–200 words) and keywords (3–5 words)

Introduction
-
Literature Review (if applicable)
-
Research Methodology
-
Results and Discussion
-
Conclusion and Recommendations
-
Acknowledgments (if any)

References
For conceptual or legal studies articles, the structure may be adjusted, but must maintain logical academic coherence.
4. Formatting Guidelines

Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)
-
Length: 4,000–7,000 words
-
1.5 spacing, normal margins (4–3–3–3 cm), Times New Roman, 12 pt
-
Citation style: APA Style (latest edition)
5. References

Minimum of 15 references, preferably from scholarly journals within the last 10 years

Reference formatting must follow APA Style (latest edition)

Use of reference management tools such as Mendeley or Zotero is recommended
6. Review and Publication Process

All submissions will go through a double-blind peer review

Average review time: 4–6 weeks

The journal does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APC-Free)
7. Manuscript Submission

Manuscripts must be submitted via the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform available on the official JSSL website
