All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Social Sciences and Law (JSSL) will undergo a double-blind peer review process, where both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure an objective evaluation.

Review Stages:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening:

    • The editor will check the manuscript for its relevance to the journal's focus and scope, completeness, and formatting compliance.

    • Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria will be returned to the author without being sent for review.

  2. Peer Review Process:

    • Eligible manuscripts will be sent to two reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.

    • Reviewers will assess the scientific quality, originality, relevance, methodology, and contribution of the manuscript.

  3. Editorial Decision:

    • Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

      • Accepted without revision

      • Accepted with minor revision

      • Accepted with major revision

      • Rejected

    • The final decision rests with the editorial board.

  4. Revision by Author:

    • If revisions are required, the author must submit a revised version along with a detailed response to the reviewers' comments.

  5. Final Editing and Layout:

    • Accepted manuscripts will undergo copyediting and layout formatting before being published online.

Estimated Timeline:

  • The average review process takes 4–6 weeks, depending on the reviewers' response time and the completeness of revisions submitted by the author.
