Peer Review Process
Economic, Management, Business and Accountancy International Journal (EMBAIJ) is committed to ensuring a rigorous and transparent peer review process. Our peer review process is designed to uphold the quality and integrity of the research we publish. The following outlines the steps and procedures involved in our peer review process:
1. Initial Submission and Editorial Assessment:
- Submission: Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system.
- Editorial Assessment: The editorial team conducts an initial assessment to ensure the manuscript aligns with the journal’s scope and adheres to the submission guidelines. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected without external review.
2. Assignment to Reviewers:
- Reviewer Selection: The editor assigns the manuscript to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, reputation, and previous reviewing history.
- Invitation to Review: Potential reviewers are invited to review the manuscript. If they accept, they are given access to the manuscript and review guidelines.
3. Review Process:
- Confidential Review: The peer review process is double-blind, meaning that both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous to each other. This helps ensure impartial and unbiased reviews.
- Evaluation Criteria: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, significance of findings, clarity of presentation, and relevance to the field. Reviewers provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Reviewer Reports: Reviewers submit their reports and recommendations (accept, minor revisions, major revisions, or reject) to the editor within a specified timeframe.
4. Editorial Decision:
- Decision Making: Based on the reviewers' reports, the editor makes an initial decision. If the reviews are conflicting or if further expertise is needed, additional reviewers may be consulted.
- Feedback to Authors: The editor communicates the decision to the authors along with the reviewers’ comments and any necessary revisions.
5. Revision and Resubmission:
- Author Revisions: Authors revise their manuscript based on the reviewers’ comments and resubmit it within the given timeframe. Authors must provide a detailed response to each reviewer comment, outlining how they addressed the feedback.
- Reevaluation: The revised manuscript is sent back to the original reviewers (or new reviewers if necessary) for further evaluation. This process may be repeated until the manuscript meets the journal’s standards.
6. Final Decision and Publication:
- Final Acceptance: Once the manuscript meets all the required standards, the editor makes a final decision to accept it for publication.
- Proofreading and Formatting: The accepted manuscript undergoes proofreading and formatting to ensure it meets the journal’s publication standards.
- Publication: The final version of the manuscript is published in the next available issue of the journal and made available online.
7. Post-Publication:
- Post-Publication Review: EMBAIJ encourages ongoing dialogue and feedback on published articles. Authors and readers can engage in post-publication discussions through the journal’s platform.
EMBAIJ is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly publishing and ensuring that all published research is rigorously reviewed and ethically sound.
